How do you catch a chipmunk in your house?

I have a chipmunk in my landry room and I can not get it out.How do you catch a chipmunk in your house?
Food, like nuts, box, board, string, and stick.

Put the food on the board, put the box over the board. Tie string to stick and prop up one end of box. sit quiet and wait. Animal goes in pull the string. You now have it in a box with a lid on it. Take it to some woods and let it go. I did it once, and it worked.

Try to use a wood box, it can chew through cardboard pretty quick. How do you catch a chipmunk in your house?
They sell live traps in the home and garden depts of most major grocery stores. We had a mice problem and put a couple of them out and they worked wonders. After you catch them you just turn them loose outside and they are fine!
Get a trap, you can rent one, and bait it with peanut butter. Once trapped, wear gloves so as not to be bitten or scratched. You might be able to call animal control to pick it up and they will probably dispose of it for you. However, there may be a law in your area that states you can't relocate it to a nice park or out in the country, and besides they tend to come back. Once it's gone, seal off any opening such a critter could access to get into your home.
With a rat trap, or call an exterminator. A local government agency, such as fish and wildlife department, or game warden is another good place to call for suggestions.
