There is a chipmunk in the family garden. What can i do?

I was thinking about exterminating it with my BB gun, but if killing it is avoidable, that would be great. If it is not avoidable, how do i lure it out? It just sits in its nest all day. By the way, it has about 5 holes throughout our garden and i am assuming that they all connect. It is distroying flowers so I want to get rid of it.There is a chipmunk in the family garden. Get some old-fashioned moth balls and drop one down each hole and scatter others around the perimeter of the garden. Critters really HATE the smell and move elsewhere. Golf courses often scatter moth balls to keep little furry critters out of equipment sheds and cart sheds, and it works! I scatter a few around the inside of my garage, and it works. The moth balls you scatter that are exposed to rain will melt, so you may need to do it every 4 to 6 weeks. Store the extra moth balls in a zipper-type plastic bag. (And you can buy moth balls at places like Walgreens and Walmart. They're cheap, and one box will do for a year.)There is a chipmunk in the family garden. What can i do?
go to your local hardware store and ask an associate. A lot of times you can plant plants that they don't like and they will keep away from your garden. We plant salvia to keep the deer away and so far its working. otherwise im sure you would be able to lure it out with peanut butter or cherios. We dont have chipmucks where I'm from but those baits work well for squirrels.
