How do you catch a chipmunk?

A traditional rat trap bated with peanut butter works quite well. How do you catch a chipmunk?
Grab A Shotgun, a bazooka and 3.212 tonnes of semtex(no more, no less) If that doesnt catch the bloody thing just use peanut butter on a spoon under a boxHow do you catch a chipmunk?
How about compassion and a ';Have-a-Heart'; trap. Then they can be released in a chipmunk friendly location. Sometimes this time of year they have babies at home however. :( I personally like them around.
Fishnet and buddies w. brooms. Best done slightly intoxicated! Great sport.
alive or dead?
very carefully
try carrot in a box
Well, the small squirrel sized have-a-heart traps work well for us. Trouble is, we want the squirrels instead of the 'munks. Just bait it with black oil sunflower seeds or canned dices peaches. I think you'll find that you have more than one 'munk. Then take it to the next town over and release it. Unless, of course, you want to throw a party and try Anthony V's suggestion!! LOL
Be careful if you catch it alive. They bite!
Why, they're so cute!
get a box and prop it up and and tiie a string to the stick u used to prop the box up. then put a bunch of nuts under the box, and hide behind a tree. when a chipmunk comes, pul the string and u'll have a chipmunk
the best way is to use peanuts in a live catch trap and then release it a few miles from home.
We catch raccoons with a live trap and I bet you could catch chipmunks, too. We put peanut butter on crackers and when the critter gets inside, the trap door closes. You can then take it to a park or other wooded area and let it go find a new home. Why do you want to catch them? The ones in our yard are just so cute. They are not destructive like the raccoons.
get a cat?
