Could I kill chipmunk family with a rat trap?

I'm having problems with family of destructive chipmunks.





Could I use a large rat trap (kind that snaps and traps their head) to kill them?





Would a poison peanuts be better?Could I kill chipmunk family with a rat trap?
Poison could kill a cat or an owl. Even if you don't like them, they control chipmunks. The rat trap will work fine.Could I kill chipmunk family with a rat trap?
stay away from poison...too many things can go wrong. Something else could eat it, kid or pets can get into it. Also, the chipmunk could eat it and die in a place you can't get it but you can smell it.





Better to use the trap. You might be able to get a live trap. Put a peanut (butter it with peanut butter) on the clip and attatch it with a rubber band or string. This will work.





Another option...if you know where they are, you can try chasing them out and seal the entry point behind them.





They're pretty flexible critters so look for even the smallest gap and fix it.





If you can't coax them out, can't lay your hands on a live trap then, the rat trap will work.





Pretty sure you won't want to brag to your neighbours about it though.
