How to ';chipmunk'; a song by changing the pitch not speeding it up?

I've seen many people do this on youtube and I wanted to know how to do it. Hope you can help me.

Thanks! How to ';chipmunk'; a song by changing the pitch not speeding it up?
get ';audacity'; it is freeware so it is totally free and change the pitch of the song to as high as you want, all you need to do is import it and change the pitch and then save it again.

here is the website for the free download(not illegal it is free to start with)

The change the pitch there should be a tab at the top (like where file and edit is) just look though those until you find pitch, really easy to find. How to ';chipmunk'; a song by changing the pitch not speeding it up?
first you gotta have a voice recorder.

then you just take the voice and run it up to a higher pitch.

If you record your voice in middle c for instance

you raise it to a 3 ubove octive by using the pitch changer.

sort of like a transposer on a keyboard.
Easiest way. Smoke some dope. hahahhahahaha. Its just a joke.
