Can I put sunflower seeds out for a wild chipmunk?

sunflower seeds still in their shell? will the chipmunk be able to crack it open? Can I put sunflower seeds out for a wild chipmunk?
It should be fine to leave out some sunflower seeds =]

Of course, you should probably just make sure that you aren't tossin' him the salted and roasted ones!

By the way, Chipmunks are perfectly capable of cracking open sunflower seeds and he will really enjoy it! Just try not to make a habit of directly hand-feeding him the seeds, or allowing him to SEE you put out the seeds. You don't want to have him getting used to being people-fed! That could be very dangerous for him, especially if he decides to try a neighbor house and the dog there doesn't appreciate his company.

You should try to snap some pictures of him, it would be adorable!

Hope I've helped!! =]

Could you please answer mine?

Yes, you definitely can. Chipmunks are a type of rodent and rodents love sunflower seeds. All rodents have teeth for cracking open seeds. I'm pretty sure it will love it! (btw: I heard that too many sunflower seeds can cause some weight gain, so he/she may become a chubby chipmunk! LOL)
yes you can. wild chipmunks enjoy things like seeds, plants, nuts and fruit. And yes you can put the sunflower seeds out in their shells. chipmunks have large front teeth that they use to break the tough outer layers of nuts and seeds. Hope this helped!!!
