How does a chipmunk fit into a Yellowstone National Park ecosystem?

Three types of chipmunks that are known to live in the Yellowstone National Park are the the Uinta chipmunk, Least chipmunk and the Yellowpine chipmunk. I know that their habitat is in the forests but I can not find anything on how chipmunks fit into the ecosystem. Any other facts on chipmunks are great, too!!!How does a chipmunk fit into a Yellowstone National Park ecosystem?
Omnivores, chipmunks eat a surprisingly wide variety of foods, including insects %26amp; birds' eggs. Chipmunks bury alot of nuts which they then dig up 95%+ of due to an absolutely amazing geographic memory. The remaining nuts sprout %26amp; replace the trees that feed the chipmunks, a kind of symbiosis-at-a-distance. Almost every predator species eats chipmunks, so they have a place in the food chain feeding owls %26amp; hawks, coyotes %26amp; wolves, bobcats, etc.

Wikipedia has a very informative article.

The Fox, Wolf, and Coyote say ';Yummy';.
It tends to be a tight fit as most chipmunks are rather chubby.
