A chipmunk dug a whole around my lily plant and ate the stalk and it broke off under the ground almost at the root. I have the plant stalk in my house in a vase full of water in hopes that it will still bloom. It is 3 1/2 feet tall with so many buds, I have to see it bloom! Is there something I can do to help save it. Will it come back next year now that this happened?Chipmunk ate the stalk of my lily plant. Can I save it?

Other than some stomach pain from overeating, the chipmunk will be fine. Don't worry.
